Harry Potter in Taiwan
Hundreds of fans stood in rain as they waited for the arrival of James and Oliver Phelps, or the Weasley twins, at the movie premiere of the latest Harry Potter film in Taipei.
The twins, who took on the supporting roles of the cheeky Fred and George Weasley, met with fans first at an afternoon session where they held the wands and demonstrated their wizards' poses side-by-side. James Phelps, the younger brother of the two by minutes, said that one of the most challenging scenes in the movie was when a magic potion turned them into a duplication of Harry Potter. It has been almost a decade since the launch of the first Harry Potter movie. Loyal fans were excited to see the twins who in the movie own a joke magic shop. The actors greeted the fans as they took time on the red carpet to pose for pictures and sign autographs for the fans who handed them books and posters along the railings beside the red carpet. As the Potter series has developed, each installment has taken on a darker, more serious tone than the last, as the forces of darkness gather and the stakes are raised. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2", which will be released in 3D, is scheduled to hit cinemas in July 2011.
