The host of "America's Most Wanted" is planning to launch an Asian version of long running American crime TV show in Hong Kong, a report said Monday.
John Walsh said he was negotiating with Star TV to produce "Asia's Most Wanted", although no timetable had been set, The Standard reported.
"We have helped capture dangerous fugitives in UK, Japan and Germany. The next plan is to make the show truly world wide," Walsh told the English language daily.
Walsh, whose own son was murdered in 1981, calls on the American show's viewers to phone in tips to track down fugitives.
Producers work with local law enforcement in choosing those featured on the show, a model which would be replicated in Asia, the paper said.
The programme's 22 year run has seen about 1,130 fugitives captured and 61 abducted children found, The Standard said.
